How bad do tattoos hurt?

It depends on a number of things.  Firstly, if you go to a reputable studio, the needles will be sharp, and they hurt less.  Also, it will depend how big the tatoo is, where you have it done as some areas are more painful to tattoo than others, and how high your tollerance to pain is.  I have had two done, both on bony areas, and once the outline was done it went sort of numb, they didn't hurt too much, the odd wince, but no tears.

it depends on where the tattoo is, what it is (in terms of how much shading and coloring) and what your pain threshold is.

  i have two tattoos.  i said "ow" once each during both of them, and that was it, right when it went over bone.  other than that, it didnt hurt one bit, it was just like a misqueto i couldnt swat.

then i know people who got similar tatts in the same spot and they cried and had to take a break.  so yeah...its all up to you really

It depends on where you get it and how huigh your threshold for pain is.Just make sure you get what you want where you want and be absolutely sure.They sterilize their equipment.

It's true - it depends where you get the tattoo - on more bony parts of your body (like shoulder-blade) it hurts more.  I got a small one on my left shoulder and it only hurt (a little bit) when he did the outline of the tattoo cause they have to go over the outline twice, after that it was fine.

But I didn't cry!

it depends on pain tolerance, tattoo location, and the tattooist themselves.

some people dig into your skin, and that probably means their inexperienced, or maybe thats just how they do it, but yeah...it dosent help.

personally the worst location for me is the rib cage area, then the hip area, and stomach.

it pulls at your skin and after awhile feels very room, and stings a little bit. its actually kind of fun depending on where you get it done at. like on the back of my arm, it was fun. after you're done, you feel as if you've accomplished something, its cool.

Depends how big it is lol. If covers like the whole of your top arm or something like that then no, but if it's small anyway then it's lovely :)

Errmm, not really i perferr like snake bites on girls becuase tatoos seem to manly for me, especially when i only have peircings...

it depends how sharp the needle is if its blunt it hurts like h**l but its only the dodgy tattoo parlours that use them.

i think a small one in the right place is attractive like lower back or hip or something

it depends where on the body it is,its a pain that cant really be described and it also depends on how high your pain tolerance is,but honestly its not that bad at all and have had three one big one on my left upper arm covering shoulder to elbow one all the way down the outside of my right leg and a small one on my upper right arm,just remember you get to keep it forever so the little pain is worth it
