Question:

How bad do you feel for Rich Harden?

Since coming to the Cubs he's pitcher 12 innings, struck out 20 and given up 1 run. In his 1st start with the Cubs he came out of the game with a 7-0 lead, should have been a sure win for him, yet the Cubs blew the lead and he got a no decision (the cubs eventually won that game). He's pitched lights out since coming over and the Cubs just can't seem to get this guy a win.

Does anyone else feel bad for someone like that, they get traded, they pitch well and the team just can't get things done for him?

  1. it's frustrating for him i'm sure from the team standpoint, but he has to pleased that he's pitching as well as he is...when you pitch like that the wins will come with time

  2. I don't feel that bad for him. No more then how I feel for the whole team right now. He has pitched great, it's just our offense that's in a slump right now.

We'll bounce back, I predict his next outing, a win!

  3. I dont feel bad at all....... everyone thinks the NL West is so bad... cubs lose 2 in a row to Dbacks?

  4. I'll bet Harden wouldn't mind getting "no decisions" the rest of the season for the chance to be in the playoffs and possibly the WS.  He certainly wasn't going to get there in Oakland this year.

  5. I feel bad for him, but its not his fault, he's been lights out.

  6. Thoroughbred A's fan here... it was hard losing Harden, our best pitcher, but I want all the best for him on the Cubs.  And seeing him doing awesome for the Cubbies, it's totally cool.  But that other day when he threw 7 innings of 1-hit baseball, and got the loss.. that's just wrong.  You don't give up one hit, and lose.  But Harden won't let it get to his head.  He's a good pitcher like that.  He gets injured a lot, but when he's at the top of his game, as Cubs fans are finding out, he's lights out.  But I hope Harden gets to the playoffs and beyond.

  7. No...thats the breaks kid. CC has won all three starts for Brewers so it is just how the ball bounces. You win some you lose some...or in a pitchers case you get a no decision.

  8. Its because the Cubs went from having one of the best offenses in baseball to the absolute worst in less than a week. With the brewers going on all cylinders and an impossible schedule, things are not looking good for my Cubbies.

  9. Yes it is frustrating but we got Harden to do ex exactly what he has done so far. The offense just needs to get their act in gear. I heard Piniella went off on the Cubs hitters in the Locker Room yesterday. I wonder how much of a butt chewing they will get after this game.

You better try to catch Piniella's post game interview. It should be worth the price of your cable bill.
