How bad does it hurt to get your nipples pierced? (ladies)?

so, i wanna get mine done, but i've heard from some ppl that it hurts so bad, but others say it just hurts like getting them slammed in a car door.....

how bad does it hurt?????

hahaha, who slammed them in a car door? hahaha, that made me giggle...

i got both nipples pierced in one sitting, and they stung when pierced, but it wasnt a really bad sting...on a scale of 1-10, i'd say about 5...they sting quite a bit afterwards, so make sure no running or anything that can cause them to bounce around or rub against clothing :)

nipple piercing was the only piercing I've ever gotten that hurt so bad I was yelling obscenities (much to the entertainment of the piercer)

how bad its going to hurt for you is going to depend on how high your pain tolerance is. for what its worth i've got a pretty high tolerance for pain and it still hurt really bad.

if you get them done, get barbells instead of rings, easier on healing and will allow better room for swelling. You're going to want to wear a bra as little as possible for at least the first month and should avoid lacy bras for the duration of healing. (so that your jewelry doesn't get hooked, trust me...not fun)

Even with the pain, getting my nipple pierced was totally worth it (I only got one done)

and for the record, the only way that having a nipple piercing will have an adverse affect on breastfeeding is if the piercing has a bad rejection. Emphasis on bad. women can breast feed with nipple piercings, though its a good idea to take out the jewelry before doing it to prevent choking hazard for the baby.

my nipple piercing started to reject back in March and I took it out to let it heal. I have no visible scar, though I'm sure there is some scar tissue, and have never had any "leaking problem"

it hurts a lot but is not that bad... it just hurts to move a lot after wards and the next day its very sensitive.. i actually found the pain slightly pleasurable lol.. if its something your really want and cant stop thinkin of i say go for it

Forget the car door example, you are having a needle ran through your nipple, it hurts, badly, even though the act happens fairly quickly, again, you are having a large needle ran through your nipple, it...hurts.

It is sore afterwards depending on your healing process anywhere from a few days to a few weeks, as with any piercing you are prone to infection, cleaness is an issue, and upon removal most people have scars, scar tissue which may or may not interfere should you ever wish to breastfeed, and leakage after removal is also a possiblity.  Hope this helps.

well i asked my body piercer and she told me guy nipples hurts worst then girls cause they breast feed and they are used to it and they are stronger then guys. im guessing  it feels like a bee sting i don't know cause my friend got hers done and she said they didn't hurt that much it hurt just like getting her tongue pierced she said so i don't know. if you think about it all piercings hurt no matter what you get some just hurt a lot more then other its just a price you might pay thats all

It's not that bad.  It hurts, don't get me wrong.  For me, it only hurt the the actual needle was going in.  After that, I was fine.  Your nipples are soar for a couple of days.  I couldn't really sleep on my stomach for a few days.  But the pain is so worth the great sensation you get.  DO IT GIRL!!
