How bad does it hurt to pierce ur belly button? I dont have a high pain tolerance. Can I use numbing cream b4?

No matter what I'm going to suck it up and do it but I'm just trying to prepare myself. The only piercings I have are 2 in my ears but I can't really have anything more because of my job so this is what i chose...

from people i know they say it doesn't hurt at all.

some places will numb the area (infact most will).

I got mine done in 2000 and it hurt for a second and then the pain went away, but I have a super high pain tolerance....it didn't hurt again after that just make sure you keep it clean and go with a bar bell at first cause I'm sure an infection would hurt...

It hurts less than getting yours ears pierced, which I didn't think hurt at all.

Obviously this is going to depend on your pain tolerance and on the skill of the piercer. I had mine done twice, the original time, and the second time was through the scar tissue of the first one and it still did not hurt me.

You can barley feel it it feels like a little pinch for a few seconds I got my belly button pierced when I was 12 and in the end it looks amazing I luv mine so much and it feels like your getting your ears pierced

ok honey i just got my belly pierced like 6 days ago!! it hurts I'm not gonna lie to you...but only getting it ...after its just a little sore but after like the second day its ok...you just have to make sure you clean everyday with antibacterial soap so it can help speed up the healing process....its totally worth it though!! hope this helps!!

It didnt hurt very bad. just make sure you keep it clean after because infections can hurt and look kinda gross.

yeah mine hurt like a *****, probably a 6/10 but that's me it could be different for you, the skinnier you are the more it will hurt.  Don't worry about the numbing cream there's no need for it, your just going to prolong the pain, it's gonna hurt after anyways.

it is really not as bad as I thought it would be.  It is very sore after wards.  My piercing hurt sooo bad for a week after I got it done.  

But for the actually piercing, they put this clamp on you and pull the skin tight....which I thought was more painful than the actual needle going through.
