  1. To an extent it does matter but for you it doesnt because your just starting out. For more experienced skaters it does because of grip, toe cap, cushioning etc. If you plan on clearing some sick gaps then you probably oughta go out and buy some skate shoes eventually because skate shoes are mostly meant for support and comfort and without alot of suport you can roll your ankle easier and break your ankle and whatnot. Just start off with some cheaper skate shoes and then if you get real god go out and buy the good stuff.

    For a beginner i recomend vans,es,etnies,dc

    If your more experienced- Fallen,Emerica,lakai

My favorite shoe's are probably the Emerica reynolds lights or Vans Rowley X

  2. It's very important! Those shoes are not flat enough. My little brother was skating with shoes that were very similar to those and he would always fall off and he end up braking his leg. Go to http://www.skatestyles.com/ and get shoes similar to those and you'll be fine!

  3. yeh it matters a ton...first of all when u get more advanced those kinda shoes wont last very long because they dont have reinforced ollie areas and it will wear down the bottom quick too...also they arent wide so they wont get much traction....if u sk8 in those alot in a skate park ur toes and stuff will start to ache becuz of lack of padding...

i recomend DVS, Adios, or Lakai
