  1. It depends. Different people can take different levels of pain. Take painkillers and eat soft food for the first few days and you should be okay.

I actually didn't hurt at all when I first had my braces put on, but when I had them tightened I ached quite a bit.

  2. srry i need points

  3. depends on your pain tollerance level. Just a dull ache on your gums and teeth, but you can take an otc pain med to help. also cold juices/water help a lot

  4. With my experience, I had excruciating pain my first few days, but my teeth were badly crooked. I would suggest taking some painkillers, and only eating soft foods. That did help with the pain. Sorry.

  5. it actually depends on your pain tolerance. I just got mine on in May, the first few days were tough, but nothing horrible. Eating was really tough, I lived off of mashed potatoes, pudding and smoothies for about a week, then the soreness went away and I was eating normal again. On a scale of 1-10 (1 being the least pain and 10 being severe pain) I would give it about a 4. Nothing terrible, just more of an aggravating soreness. Nothing that tylenol/advil didnt help!

  6. take painkillers a few hours prior to getting your braces on it helps a lot

your teeth will be sore so just stay away from hard food

and make sure you get lots of rest at night

  7. well right after you get them on it doesn't feel too bad, just like a little pull. However, the next day it is unbearable and you can't bite into any hard food. Really you can only eat Jamba Juice for the first 2-3 days. I strongly recommend eating a bunch before you get your braces on (you won't be able to eat afterwards) and taking an Advil immediately after your appointment.

  8. It depends on the braces you're getting and how sensitive your teeth are. For some people it doesn't hurt at all, for others it merely hurts for a couple of hours and for people like me with sensitive teeth, your mouth aches for about a week when you get them put on, tightened etc. For the amount of time your mouth aches, you should eat soft food like pasta and soup. It's worth it for the amazing straight teeth you get afterwards! :)
