How bad is burn in for a 42" Panasonic Plasma (year 2007)?

I am planning to get a wii and i was wondering how bad the burn in for Panasonic Plasmas are. Also how long does the same screen have to be on for burn in to occur (eg. 1 hour etc.)?

Hi.  Screen burn is bad for all plasmas.  As far as I know no one brand is worse than any other.  However it is easily avoided.  The first few pages of the manual will have advice but the best thing to do is to have the contrast, brightness and colour down low.  Def under 70 for each.  And dont leave any static images on for too long.  Like dont pause any image on the screen, i.e on sky plus.  Screen burn can happen in mins but if you take the right steps it should not happen.  Check out av forums for more advice.  I am full of tv advice and could go on and on, any more questions just email me.

You will have burns within an hour or two...

Get a DLP TV set...they DON'T BURN.

Or you can choose an LCD Panel TV....
