How bad is giving your baby formulas that have the first ingredient as "corn syrup solids"?

Enfamil and Similac both have varieties of formula where the first and main ingredient is corn syrup solids. I don't think I want to be giving my baby a formula where 43% of the formula is corn syrup solids. I know babies have been using these for decades but there are a lot of children who have problems with these formulas. Im thinking of going organic with Baby's Only or Earth's Best. My baby is really gassy and a really fussy at times because of her tummy. She is on Similac Sensitive at the moment and I just started giving her gripe water. Still gassy but not as much pain. What is your thought on formulas? Our chiropractor said to go organic.

  1. They are not that bad. My child is on Enfamil soy formula and that helps we found out that she could not have similac because it made her have really bad side effects talk to your pedication that is the best way to go and good luck

there is medication for gassy babies it starts with a m not sure what it is but again talk to the pedication

  2. I used Enfamil LIPIL on my children when I could not breast feed. Breastfeeding is the best organic way to go, but I never had a problem with Enfamil. If your baby is sensitive and you don't want to or can't breastfeed go for something that your pediatrician recommends. There are a lot of good formulas out there for sensitive babies, or soy formulas.

  3. It's fine don't worry my son was on similac formula since 11 months he doing fine! so don't worry there alot of foods that come corn syrup solids so you gotta have to deal with it and it's not that bad! If doctors and hospital wouldn't give newborn similac and another formula then it's bad but most hospital, doctors gave newborn similac which you don't need to worry about.
