  1. Here's my opinion; if you have a tendency to trust no car which has been "hit", then you are gonna be stuck with paying the prices to do business with new car dealers. I personally cannot "see" making that sacrifice, THUS all the vehicles I have driven and owned for the past 15 years were gotten as "damaged but fixable", and I have done well in minimizing my ownership costs. I have also taken on NO sales contracts to be trapped into. I HAVE at times been let down by such vehicles in the reliability area, but I feel this is what must be expected of ANY used car.

As for that q panel damage and what does it represent? well it may have been repaired with skill or not, only you and others who can inspect it can be a judge. Caveat! the TITLE of the car may show SALVAGE, or such as REBUILT SALVAGE at this point. THIS means to the buyer- You MAY go on and register a vehicle w/ "rebuilt" status showing on the title; if it shows salvage ONLY, then the car must be state inspected prior to it being ELIGIBLE for registering(tags). Needless to say, if YOU did not fix it, you can't provide answers to the state examiners questions, nor documents, etc. they might NEED to support their inspection process. Ihope this much is a help. Good luck & go for fuel-economy!ps. the q panel  has no major SYSTEMS which are there usually, but one may need to be cautious to ensure no "as yet unrepaired" alignment issues with the rear wheels. such a problem will cause tires to be worn rather quickly, and if yet unrepaired, the issue MAY be unrepairable, barring major investment in unibody realignment services.

  2. If it was JUST the panel and not anything else like frame damage, it's fine.  It's just cosmetic.

  3. depends how hard it was hit, there could be other damage that you can't see that wasn't repaired, such as shocks or struts or even a bent frame
