  1. They didnt tell you what you need.

    1.  The repair will cost you about $50 - $100. not including paint

    2.  drill a small hole in the "hole" and use a dowel to locate it inside the hull. This small hole will be filled during the repair.  you do need to address this repair from both sides.

West Marine is good....if you dont have one in your area.  Check any local Marina.

    wer

  2. i am not sure about ur boat but we found out from replacing a piece of the ply board that under the ply board is foam ( like the can of foam u use under the kitchen sink for air leaks ) and my husband drilled a hole all the way through our floor , we filled the hold with the foam spray that expands then when that dried we used marine fiberglass repair ( bought from wal mart ) cause it is the only store in our town and we used the boat for 2 1/2 months last summer after reparing the hole i looked at it just 2 days ago still sealed ,, we sanded a small area around the damage to make sure the marine epoxy / fiberglass filler would hold to the boat

  3. easily fixed...First you must insure that the inside of the hole is completely dry...then buy a fiberglass repair kit from say West Marine and even get specific advice from someone there..

Repair the hole following the directions and you'll be good as new... Seen much worse repaired...

  4. It should be ok as long as you don't put it in the water

  5. Unless you can access the hole directly from the inside you will not be able to do an invisible job I'm afraid. The only other option, if you have a tank in the location of the hole (sounds that way) is to cut an inspection hatch into the inside hull section, allowing you access to the hole from both inside and out.

It would be pointless to repeat here whats already well documented online regarding the actual repair. With a little practice, perhaps a couple of mishaps, and the right equipment, you will be able to finish the repair so that it's invisible (trust me, its what I do for a living) Take a look on www.jamestowndistributors.com or just google 'fibreglass repair' for  tutorials.

    Hope that helps.

Use automotive spray for the paint - colour match at a good autmotive store, great little time saver.

  6. Fill the hole with automotive body filler. After it has dried sand smooth and paint the area. If done properly it will never leak! I have done this a number of times.
