  1. Heya, I got my tragus pierced 6 weeks ago! I have three lobe piercings (all done with a gun) and my tragus was honestly the least painful. I think it differs from person to person but for me it was a fairly pain-free procedure.

Obviously having a needle through cartilage is going to hurt but I think it's easily bearable. It hurt less than I thought it would, and for me the worst bit was when he cleaned up around the piercing and it stung. Prepare yourself for a lovely popping/crack sound too as the needle pierces your cartilage!

My piercer told my to bathe it twice a day with a salt water solution. He said I could take it out after 6 weeks, which was today! I tried in vain for about half an hour to remove the labret stud but the ball is on very tightly and I couldn't remove it with gloves, pliers, nothing. I'm going to go back to my piercer tomorrow and ask him to change it :)

I've been told it'll be over a year until it fully heals, but to be honest, it feels nearly perfect already. No bleeding, pain, a few crusties now and again but nothing major. I couldn't smile for the first day though!

Healing is quite annoying; make sure you consider the side you get it done, for example how you sleep and which ear you usually talk on the phone with. I slammed my mobile to my right ear a few days after the piercing, and trust me, once you've done that once, you won't do it again!

If you do get it done, make sure the peircing shop is clean and sterile, and all of the equipment is sterile and the needle used to pierce it is brand new.

If you're undecided over a tragus, honestly, go for it! It's a beautiful little piercing, discreet and adorable but still edgy and unusual. I love mine :)

    Hope I've helped :)

  2. My tragus didn't hurt at all! It takes a good month before it "feels like its healed" but i would say 2 months before i would try to switch jewelry or anything like that.

    anyways good luck with it!
