No the USA and UK and EU and NATO, will not get involved in the dispute between Russia and Georgia.

Everyone knows that the Russian Army is simply pulling it's punches. This is the same Army who rolled over Napoleon and Hitler. If they wanted to they could flatten Georgia in a few days. But that's not the plan. The plan is to protect ethnic Russians who are being persecuted.

Well, that's the reason the Russians are giving out. . . .

It's a real little tinderbox this region but I think the Russians immediate and hard hitting defence of Ossettia against the agressor Georgia sent a very clear message and I note it's the Georgians crying for the ceasefire now as there wasn't an equally swift and clear retort from the west to back them up.Problem is though a Georgian spokesman said it won't be over till the Ruskies withdraw,then they will leave.The Georgians better hope for a blue moon.

I hope the UK, America and Australia will leave them to it. Perhaps I ought to read more about it but I don't think it's really our war to fight. However, I'm sure Bush will declare war on Russia and Brown will back him up because he is just as stupid as Blair was. Rudd on the other hand, I don't know. But anyway, I think it's possible we'll all get sucked into WW3.

Russia is awash with money and new found confidence. USA and UK are a busted flush struggling under mountains of debt. The New World Order has arrived, and it ain't the one envisaged by Blair and Bush. If we are get involved with this one we will get seriously screwed.

It's bad.  Russia is trying to conquer Georgia and take control of more fuel pipelines flowing to Europe.  Europe isn't going to like this.  The missile shield deal with Poland, the Czech republic and the USA is a sure thing now.

Blue, Russia would need a navy to invade the USA.  Russia's navy is a mess.  Their conventional forces are fine when dealing with little tiny places like Georgia, but their conventional forces are nothing compared with the US military.  If they had to fight the US they would go nuclear.

Situation is pretty bad. I seriously doubt it, that's what Georgian president was hoping for before he attacked South Ossetian, or at least hoping they will back him up.

I seriously doubt situation will be allowed to escalate. Russian president has firmly stated, as soon as Georgian army leaves S.Oss Russia will withdraw its troops. So right now EU, NATO and US are pressuring Georgian President to leave S.Oss.

S.Ossn's hold Russian nationality, so it was an idiotic provocation by Georgia.
