This Tuesday I start high school and i'll be a freshman. Is it really as bad as everyone says it is? Do you seriously get your head flushed in the toilet? I'm already pretty unpopular!

  1. It started off as great but it only got worse with my math and science

No you don't That's hazing and that's illegal but you could get harassed for being a freshman but don't worry Upperclassmen just like to mess around. Today seniors wore diapers and yelled at freshman hitting them with diapers at my school.

If you are unpopular you really won't really get picked on as much. People usually target more popular people to destroy their reputation  but since it's high school more people focus on their studies.

    You will be fine.

  2. LOL!! Don't worry the head flush thing is only in movies!! High school kids are nicer than you think...... most of the time mwahahahaha!!...Just kidding about that last part!!

  3. it's not bad!

    i actually like it

no! of course the toilet thing isn't true!

    it's only on t.v.

everyone's nice or just ignores you

    and

    if you're unpopular now,

well, get new friends! b/c you'lll probably make the new friends and upgrade your social status

  4. Do not be fearful../Most if not all the tales are made up./

  5. Your not gonna get your head flushed in a toilet but its going to be very crowded. And your class schedule might get screwed up. To answer your question mine is going badly. I started school Aug 18 but i was sick so I started on Aug 26 and I'm behind in algebra 2 and Spanish. I was actually supposed to have French (which my dad requested all the way back in April, but my school is dumb so now i have to learn a language I don't want to. Then on top of that my Spanish teacher made me take the test today and I think I failed.  On the plus side I have a lot of friends :) Oh yeah now you have lockers :)

  6. lol, freshmen worries :]]

don't worry, nobody's going to flush your head in the toilet, and they won't flush your homework or keys, they won't stuff you inside a locker, they won't throw you into a trashcan, and basically all those this you see on tv and in books? Mostly, it's just overly dramatic. Upperclassmen tease you, but they won't do anything like that. Oh and the thing that the person on top of me said? I believe that depends on your school. My school is basically an asian and nerdy school. The seniors are pretty much brain dead from all those AP classes. Besides, our school sends you away to another school (for kids that behave badly, and try to poison the teachers), so we pretty much don't anything illegal like that. However, probably from all the stress, a large percentage of our school do drugs, so much in fact, that they have a dog come sniff around campus. No one's been caught so far, so that's pretty good. But in the beginning of my freshman year, there were police cars like every single day.

Make varsity sports, and something big will happen to you in the morning ;]

other than that, freshman year is just like your 6th grade year. It's nothing bad, but your schedule will be messed up. Sometimes, your friends won't be in your class, and you'll be like the only freshman in your class (sigh, this is what happens if you take chem in your first year). If there are any conflicts, just talk to your counsler, he/she'll deal with the problem, if you get the permission of your parent to accept the change for academic classes. If something is too hard, just drop it. It's your freshman year! Don't overly stress, colleges won't look at it (or at least I think they dont). Don't worry, keep your head up high, make some new friends, and you'll be just like anyone!!

Oh, and sometimes you'll be able to meet some nice upperclassmen that willingly take you in. It's a custom in my school, for the upperclassmen in the marching band to "adopt" a freshman. So, basically we teach you everything, help you with homework, tell you the good and bad about teachers.

I almost forgot, high school is vastly different from middle school in certain ways. For example, in middle school you might have had some assemblies, yes? Well, in high school, times the amount of students you can stick inside the room by 2. In middle school, an assembly is usually heard by 400ish people. In high school, rallies, as we call them, can hold 1500 (we have around 3000 students, while having 2 rallies). Football games are very important, even if your team sucks. Overall, high school is pretty much an exciting and new experience, and I'm positive that you'll love freshman year as much as I did. In fact, I miss it. Now, I wake up at 6 to make it to zero period, take so many honor classes that my head hurts, and have to deal with marching band and PSAT practice. So, I get around 4 hours of sleep at the most.

High school drama! Remember all those backstabbings everyone did? They get worse...

And there would be a lot of senior pranks.

Stressing is bad! Enjoy it, you'll meet new friends, and the upperclassmen will be somewhat nice!!!!

  7. for girls... hmm its not so bad.. its just like middle school just in a  bigger school with waaay more ppl u dont know. that only happens during freshman h**l week which is basically during a pep rally week but thats mainly for guys, and nothing big or anything happens.. people arent THAAAT mean but frehsmans are not liked alot..

only the annoying ones get picked on, like the "omgsh.!!" kinda ones that think they know everything and the stuck up ones are.

  8. Dont wrry about getting your head flushed in the toilet cause tht will never happen. The only thing ya got to wrry about are the upperclassman callin you freshman. Hey high school is pretty fun (except the classes and teachers) just go out and make new friends. Freshman year will go by pretty quick. Just remember, freshman year is your hardest and im finding out, junior year will be the longest
