I don't live in America so I don't know much about the American economy, but I do know there is a global crisis. How much it affects Americans? I'm especially curious about Californians since my bro is moving to Cali soon.

P.S. Another curiosity question, those strikes in film & tv industry... does it mean soon Hollywood might close its doors? I hope not though.

  1. Hollywood closed down years ago..they just don't have anyplace else to go.  Check on a CA website to read about thier economy and stuff.  It's expensive there.

  2. I have lived in California most of my life. Here everything costs a fortune but we all make a fortune so we don't care. Our freeways are as crowded as ever. I wish I knew where everyone was going. AFTRA signed their contract. Now SAG has to get theirs ratified. SAG is bvIIsh*t and so members may soon be on strike.

  3. It's REALLY bad. GDP was still growing in Q1 (last report available) and unemployment is much less than it was 15 years ago, but the newspapers all say its bad, so it must be so.

  4. America is limping along but it is hurting everyone...basically the average person has had to cut down on unnecessary things...gas and food are high, housing too...some are losing their homes...the usual depression type stuff...sorry I don't live in California but I assume they are affected like everyone else...don't worry, movies get popular during bad times, they are a diversion...Hollywood will stay in business...
