  1. Horrible trade.  Pheonix thought they needed someone new to add since everybody in the west was getting new people like Kidd and Gasol.  Marion was causing a problem they said but they had better chances with Marion then with Shaq.  Plus Shaq made them slower and made them change their style of game.

  2. i think it was good... because shaq's a veteran... he can teach amare sum of his mean dunks and defense. in the other hand... marion is great in the heat... together with wade and rose... it would definitely a blow out...

  3. well phx needed a big man they thought shaq was the answer and well see how it goes this year but marion was going to leave he was not happy in phx so least something came out of it

  4. worst trade i've seen out of the 07-08 season.

  5. As an NBA fan, I think the Suns/Heat trade was better then the Laker/Miami trade that sent Shaq to Miami.  What did Lakers really get from that trade?  All they end up with now is Odom.  Odom didn't turn out to be very good.  Lakers could have gotten two or three more rings with Shaq.

Marion wanted out of Phoenix so I think it was a good trade.  Marion wasn't happy.  He would leave sooner or later.  I don't know why you guys are so negative about this trade.  Kerr pull the trigger for the trade because he realize that the Suns was never going to win with Marion.  He gamble because when healthy, Shaq is still a monster on the inside.  We'll have to wait and see this season if that gamble pay off or not.  Last season they didn't have very long to play together.

  6. You really can't blame the Suns for trying! It didn't workout ,just see what happens next year.

  7. I wouldn't call it a bad trade, but it certainly didn't help either team (last year.)  The trade was caused by a few big factors.

    1) The Suns thought they needed a true "Big Man" to compete in the West.

    2) The Suns/Heat were both trying to eliminate disgrunted players. Shaq/Marion were both were killing locker room moral, demanding trades, money, playing time, etc.

3)Both teams thought a change of scenery would change the incoming player's attitude.

Again, don't think it was lopsided; but none the teams involved instantly became locks to make the Finals, either. It will take time to tell if it was a bad trade for either side.

  8. Phoenix panicked when the Lakers landed Pau Gasol.

  9. "worst trade i've seen out of the 07-08 season."

UMMM NO....the Pau Gasol one was BY FAR...wow come on bro.

  10. I agree.

Shawn Marion did good for the Suns...

    Stupid Kerr.

But yeah, i guess the trade was really for Miami in the end.

  11. Geez whats with all this Hatin on Shaq and the Suns tonight..........its so stupid. I think Shaq will do fine, ya gotta give him a chance. I think people are forgeting that Suns finished only 2 games behind the Lakers and we brought Shaq in just weeks before playoffs. Shaq wasn't even on the team long enough they got to train with him maybe a month if that before playoffs time. This is Shaq we are talking about, a huge i mean HUGE adjustment for a team to make. Give them one more season before you call it a bust. I miss Marion as much as anyone else he was one of my favorite players and I was pissed when he left and thought it was over but ya gotta look at the positive.

  12. STUPID IS AS STUPID DOES~

  13. suns suck either way they will never win get to the finals when noone on their team knows how to play defense

LOL at the guy who thinks shaq is still a monster in the inside

  14. HORRIBLE i think with all the trades goin on a the dead line comin up the just threw somethin in the air and now they wish they could suck all that air bac in lol
