I think Obama will honor McCain's great sacrifice for this country, and he will respectfully chew him and the past 8yrs of republican garbage up and spit them out, and then, he will put a nice red bow on it.

Regardless of military experience, and executive experience, the bush administration claimed to have YEARS of experience, yet, we are in the largest deficit ever, and this country has seen some of the worst economic crisis since daddy bush has been in office. so what now?

McCain himself admitted that Obama is a better speaker than him.  People in foreign lands flooded him and called him President Barack, which made the Republicans and their media spinmasters jealous. They decided that they would call Barack uppity and a pop star.  This happened in Germany.  Barack was able to speak without bobbing his head up and down like a fowl eating corn because he spoke passionately about his true beliefs and was no one's puppet. Barack has always drawn a larger and more diverse audience than McCain.  Many Republicans themselves have been saying even before Hillary dropped out of the race that Barack is the next president.  This includes superdelegates.  Youth, never normally interested in politics because it lacked relevance to them saw Barack as an inspiration.  I've never in all my lifetime seen youth as interested in politics as they are today.  Not to mention that McCain rarely has anything else to say except about Barack.  Even though what he mentions are negative attacks and lies, it shows his obsession and desperation.  Not to mention the fact that I would think a party with true Christians would admire someone who is truly Christlike and who reaches out to the poor as Jesus did when the temple scorned him for being born to a poor carpenter's family and exploiting the poor.  How could they stomach McCain mocking a man who is trying to be like their messiah.  Jesus himself said that they are hypocrites and compared them to sepulchres or tombs painted White to impress outsiders, but said they are filled with dead men's bones.  They wash the outside, but do not cleanse the inside or the heart.  Wolves in sheep's clothing.  etc.

I hope Obama makes McCain look very, very bad & ignorant. all McCain is interested in is war. this war didn't even give us oil; it gave us nothing! and now he wants to stay there for 100 more years?!? I think we've had enough....

Actually, as much as I dislike McCain, I think he will stand up well against Obama.

The only problem is he will look OLD. And, like it or not, that does matter in many people's minds.

Remember Nixon/Kennedy?  Nixon could out debate Kennedy while doing a crossword puzzle.  But Kennedy looked good, Nixon looked like a sweaty warthog.  Ergo, Kennedy wins.

Obama doesn't do that well without a teleprompter.  It isn't that Bush had so much experience.  His experience was a partial term as governor of TX and bankrupting a couple of  companies before becoming president.  He managed a baseball team.  He is an alcoholic and abused drugs for years.  He became president because of his father.  Experience definitely matters.
