A few days ago my stupid father put my skateboard outside and I said no it has to be inside. Then he said that rain wouldn't do anything to the board. I was too scared to make an argument cause my father scares me.

So It rained that day and my deck was completely soaked. I got one of those good quality decks. The one with the 7 layers of venere wood.

  1. Without any pictures it's hard to tell.  Signs of water damage include warping.  Usually the board twists so all four wheels don;t touch the ground.

Delamination  The layers are separating, occurs mostly at the nose or tail.

Sponginess.  The board no longer has pop

Waterlogging.  The board bends very easy.

There is a good chance you will need to replace the grip tape.  It doesn't hold up well to soakings.

Be sure to clean and relube your bearings.  Water will ruon the bearings faster than a deck.  If there is any rust on the balls or the bearing races, you should discard the bearings.  Once rust has started, it is difficult to stop and will get worse.

  2. it wont do that much damage to the board if its only rained on it once.

the most you will have to worry about is the grip tape on it cus that can come off after awhile since its like glued on.
