I think some EU countries are in danger of collapsing all by themselves without any help from USA.

Consumers in Great Britain are more indebted than US consumers are.  And the real estate bubble is even worse in countries such as Spain and Ireland.

But if the US economy gets worse.  Then this will have the biggest effect on an export-dependent country such as Germany.
