  1. Very beautiful!

  2. Some parts are quite scenic. The most beautiful scenery is on the west coast though. Visit Phoenix Park for greenery and Dublin 8 for the old fashioned brownstones. Steer clear from the north of the city at night, it's well-known to be a red flag area.

  3. was just there a few weeks ago, it blew me away...the people are some of the most friendly in the world...check out trinity college

  4. North Dublin is beautiful too, head to Howth out at the coast and bull island, the dublin mountains in south Dublin are lovely, The city centre is like most European city centres, whoever told you not to head for the north must never have been there.. there are no red flag areas, temple bar is probably the worst to be honest

  5. I like Dublin, but I've been to nicer cities.  I wouldn't call it beautiful.  It's a typical European city, and worth a visit.

  6. Very beautiful, but I thought the most beautiful place in Ireland was the Ring of Kerry which is on the west coast.  We started our trip on the west coast, and then made a circle (so we could visit some family in the middle of the country).  Dublin is more of a fun, type place with lively pubs.  They have beautiful parks as well.

  7. It is beautiful, although it really depends on what your idea of beautiful is. As it's a city, most of it is pretty urban, although there are some parks in the city centre that are lovely, like Stephen's Green. It has a lot of Georgian houses that legally have to have their facades retained, so you can see (almost!) what it looked like years ago. Bad points include the traffic and cost of living...very expensive...
