www.hollyswebsitereviews.com is my website and I want more people to visit and to buy a review. No one has yet purchased a review through the site. I have only sold through ebay which is patchy. Why doesn't anyone buy through the site? Is there a reason why which I can fix? I also have business cards which I got on special offer and I want to use them to best effect so what should I do with them? The cards say that if the person visits the site they can get a half price review with the code written on the card. I need business to keep me going so any help would be great. I don't know people to give the cards to and can't afford to pay for them to be put somewhere for people to take. Thanks

  1. Interestingly enough, when first getting an idea to start your business or even when you have a desire to start a business, at some point the thought of having your own business card comes across your mind.

Many times your first thought may surround what you want the business card to look like and who can do it for you and how much it will cost but you can easily overlook an important aspect of business cards that most business owners miss.

Of course, you want a really nice looking business card, but how many times have you seen a dynamic looking business card from a person that doesn't do much business or seems they should be more popular than what they already are just because of how well put together their print marketing materials are?  So, in essence, if a business card is only about "image" and information presentation only, then more people would receive greater results from their business cards, leading to greater profits.

So you have to keep in mind that today's society is a visual culture, therefore, yes, your professional business image is very important. However, it is not the only important element. Your professional business image may attract potential customers, but you will essentially need more than image to make most of your potential clients become customers and remain your customer. You need to promote the client benefits of your business and you can do this with your business card.

Let me ask you, what is it about your business that will cause potential customers to become actual customers?  How do they discover this benefit about your business? Do you list these benefits on a website, on a brochure or on a postcard?  Most often, these are the materials in which you have listed business benefits but you handout more business cards than website addresses, brochures or postcards.

Therefore, you should have a business benefit listed on your business card!

Now still, you may get great compliments about the way your business card looks, but without the added element of showing the "benefit" of customers using your products and services, you will have just a mediocre business card that will pull in little or no results.

So in the end, you want to include both: a professional business image to "draw" your potential customers to your business and essential benefits to convince your potential customers to become actual customers.  With this winning combo, you are sure to get a more effective response from your potential customers using your business card.

  2. All I can say to you on an honest basis is that some of these online opportunities are proven to be scams that is very true therefore it is about researching to see what is genuine and what is not however some people think that online businesses are get rich quick schemes which they are not they take alot of work just like any business however the rewards for that work will be good. I have been a personal development and success coach for 5 years not and the most genuine opportunity I have found is a 3 1/2 year old company.

  3. Try promote at high traffic free classified. You can try this website.

  4. free sites like http://www.sellit-right.com

    Flyers

    word of mouth

distribute leaflets, encourage people you know.

  5. With business cards being as inexpensive as they are, you really should be handing them out at every opportunity you have. Even if it doesn’t result in you getting a new client right away, chances are that they will hold on to it, and give you a call in the future when their needs change. And to further increase the chance of your business cards generating new clients, you can distribute them through a variety of other methods, such as:

    1. Leave a card on the table when you leave a restaurant

    2. Leave a stack of cards in a rack at your dry cleaner

    3. Drop a card in each bill you mail out

    4. Thumbtack a few cards to the bulletin board at your local coffee shops

    5. If you utilize a virtual office, ask them to drop a card in each mail box

    6. Place a card in several relevant books while you’re at the book store

    7. Give your family, friends and clients a stack of your cards to hand out

    8. Drop a card through the mail slot on business doors after hours

    9. Leave a small stack of cards on a table in the waiting area of your bank

  6. Hi there, have you tried popping them on the windscreens of cars or handing them out on a busy street? You have to go a bit careful that you don't damage things but if you're handing out business card sized information you're more likely to get someone to pop it in their wallet and keep it than a flyer they could chuck away.

Also try gumtree.co.uk - it's free and we get loads of leads from it, there are lots of directory sites too that will generate you traffic and help you with your rankings.

    Give it a go!

    Good luck, kx

  7. Always state what your business does when selecting a name for your business. This is quite important for small businesses.

How many time have you seen a car drive pass you with a telephone and a business name/logo, and you've no idea what exactly they do?

So instead of thinking up a clever name for your business, like...Indigo Sky... call it Indigo Sky Loft Converters. Now people will know exactly what you do!

Also as for as business cards are concerned. Keep it simple. And once again, don't forget to mention what exactly it is your business actually DOES.

    Good luck.

  8. Well, I do not know what you think of paying for your promotion. In my view, I believe the best way you can promote your business is to get an extra benefit - apart from sales conversion - for the money you spend on promotion .  On this website -  http://www.1planet-mart1.com/affiliate/s...  -  you can advertise on it, and more and more affiliates will drive visitors to view your ad' as the network grows, and if you opt for earnings opportunity as well, you can earn as well!   Choose a system where you can earn from your promotional costs - whether or not anyone visits your website!

As for your promotional cards, just get rid of your current ones by dropping them in letter boxes, so as not to waste them.  Then print new ones to include the website address(es) that promotes your business, as in the example above) and also your own website address.  This way you kill two or more birds with one stone...

This  approach is a creative approach, as you get other people to help you promote, rathen than you promoting my yourself as you are doing now.

  9. Find out if there is a Network meeting in your area, great way to virally market your business, remember to give two business cards to each person, one for them and one for their friends.

Contact your local Chamber of Commerce who should be able to tell when next and where the nearest network meeting is
