Of course, Tiger Woods is going to win. It is more like Tiger Pines.

  1. Torrey Pines is MUCH MUCH different for the Open than it has been for other tournaments.  Longer, faster, a ton harder.  The course doesnt benefit anyone, if it was set up for Tiger, he would be -20....as you can see he has worked hard and had a couple low percentage shots drop to make it to -3

  2. i think the sites are pre-determined years in advance. sort of like the way the nfl decides on it's superbowl venues. but you are forgetting phil mickelson grew up playing on that course. even though tiger has won a lot at torrey pines i dont believe they selected it just for his benefit. kind of the luck of the draw.

  3. You could just as easily say that they chose Torrey Pines to give Phil Mickelson a better chance to win. I think the attendance records speak for themselves as support for the decision.,
