How bicycle friendly is Toronto, Canada?

Im going there for a few days to do some school stuff and wanted to just ride my bike around?

  4. Compared to European cities like Amsterdam and bike-friendly North American cities like Vancouver, Toronto is definitely not bike-friendly. I would say it's average as far as bike-friendly cities go. There are dedicated bike lanes on some streets, although they are not separated from car traffic and frequently people park in them. Also, traffic poses a hazard as they do not always take bikes into account. Streetcar tracks downtown pose a big hazard for bicycles.
