How big a usb storage drive is needed to back up your ps3 ?

i am putting linux on my ps3 idon't have any games saved or movies but when i press to back up it says not enough space on storage device it is 4gb how much is needed thanks

  1. It depends on how much stuff you have on your PS3. Try to get the same size HDD as the PS3.
