How big an area is the top of Mt. Everest? Just a spot large enough for one climber to stand, or bigger?

I've seen films of climbers at the top but didn't see how many were standing together.

  1. like most mountains, Mount Everest has a peak on the top, so technically it is only a single spot and big enough for one person to be on that highest point, however, many people climb to the summit area and declare it to be the top (the entire area close to the actual summit is declared the summit, as with most mountains.)
