On the news channels outside of the US the reports contain information on the candidates and their running mates experience, or lack of, with foreign policy.

Outside of the US this is an important issue, but how much of an issue is it in the US itself? Does domestic policy experience count more in disscssions or does foreign policy count more?

  1. In a perfect world, you want a candidate to have as much experience on all fields, whether it be foreign policy, domestic policy, the economy, etc..

That's why, no matter how much you may not like McCain, he has experience on all these topics.  He is the most well rounded candidate running for President.

  2. For the ones running for President it is a major issue.

For Vice President, not an issue.

  3. One only has to look at the world today to realize that a president (and vice-president) needs to be well-versed on foreign issues. While experience is important, so is knowledge and judgment. One only has to look at Iraq, Afghanistan, Iran, Georgia, Russia, and North Korea to realize how important an issue this is.

  4. Where have you been for the last 8 years?

    The world hates us.

    We're in a senseless war.

Palin herself said that she never paid attention to the Iraq war and what's going on in it.  Now how sad is that?

  5. What are the policies of the US in regard to the world  should be asked as

What are the interest of the US and how does what the worlds policies have to do with us?

Expousing the interest of your country in contrast to any foreign objective is a prime consideration of our forign policy.

You don't need experiance to protect your cubs since this will be a Palin issue.

  6. Foreign policy is a huge issue because we are not alone in the world. However; domestic policy is the biggest issue because it shapes who we are and....how we treat each other. There IS a segment of the population that cares little about the rest of the population as long as THEY are doing fine.
