  1. they vary very much in size, for the best indicator you'll have to look at both of the parents

  2. Go to dogbreedinfo.com type in schnoodle in the search. That is how I got info on my Shih apso.  I hope this helps....

  3. no one can tell those dogs are mutts. if you want a mutt go to a shelter. there are not size, color, or anything guarantees with mutts.

    EDIT: mamab CKC, probably meaning Continental Kennel Club, they would register a hamster if you payed them enough

  4. As they are a crossbreed there is no was to say for sure as they dont breed true, meaning they dont all allways look the same.

    here are the hights for the 2 breeds in them.

    Poodle

    Toy= height at shoulder should be under 28 cms (11 ins).

    Minature= height at shoulder should be under 38 cms (15 ins) but not under 28 cms (11 ins).

    Standard= over 38 cms (15 ins).

    Schnauzer

    Minature= dogs: 36 cms (14 ins); b*****s: 33 cms (13 ins).

    Standard= dogs: 48 cms (19 ins); b*****s: 45.7 cms (18 ins).

    Giant= dogs: 65-70 cms (251/2-271/2 ins); b*****s: 60-65 cms (231/2-251/2 ins).

    So depending which size the two parents are the ofspring could be anywhere between these sizes above. (however they could also be smaller or larger)

    Also the Continental Kennel Club does not register schnoodles as they are not on there breed list

    Also according to many sites Canadian Kennel Club also does not register them.

    So 'iheartminischnauzers' i would like to see where you found this standard that says they do.

  5. There actually is a type of breed standard because they are now recognized and come papered by the ckc. I only deal with AKC, but ckc is good if you want to make sure your schnoodle is REALLY a schnoodle. All a schnoodle is is a cross between a schnauzer and a poodle, so the size will vary between about 7-25 pounds for the miniature, 25-40 pounds for the standard, and 40-75 pounds for the giant. It all depends on whether they are more schnauzery or poodley! lol

  6. No breed standard for Mutts, sorry. The outcome is always different.

  7. Iheartme - Mama B --- the CKC would register a blind pig as a breed of dog if you paid the fee, they are a made up registry for back yard breeders and puppy millers, they have NO legitimacy at all.

    As to shnoodles --- aren't they sold by the pound in the grocery store?

    No such breed - and mutts cannot be standardized if you are still cross breeding, takes many, many generations of standardized, careful, responsible breeding to come up with a new breed that breeds true.

  8. Really no way to tell with a mutt.

  9. There are 3 breeds of schnauzers-standard, giant, and mini schnauzers. Poodles come in 3 different sizes, but no breed of dog called a "schnoodle."

    Please get a schnauzer or a poodle, they are great dogs and there's no reason to mix them with any other dog!

  10. None of those are real breeds so there is no way to tell. There are Toy, Mini, and Standard Poodles and Mini, Standard and Giant Schnauzers.

  11. This is the rub - if you have a mutt, you simply don't know until he's fully grown.

    PS I know what the size of a poodle, standard, miniature, toy? (sorry, not my breeds) will be and ditto for a Schnauzer (?) - it's in the relevant Breed Standards!!!

    Message intended.

    Good Lord, has the CKC recognised this X ?  How things have changed since we left.
