Question:

How big are the chances of pregnancy?

So, before my last period, my boyfriend and I had s*x with a condom and it broke (this might have happened twice) but I got my scheduled period. Since my period has been over we have had protected s*x. But after intercourse, while cleaning up, he wiped his stuff on a pair of boxers, and unknowingly I used the same thing to wipe myself.

Since this one time, I've been exceedingly worried about being pregnant. I think I may have some signs but I'm not sure if I'm forcing them on myself due to stress.

I also have slight breast tenderness but my period is probably around 4 days away so that's normal.

What are the chances of me being pregnant, and is it possible for me to be pregnant even though I got my period last month?

ALSO, what are the risks of being 18 (19 in 2 months) and giving birth?Because abortion is out of the question.

  1. For a woman of your age, the chances of getting pregnant are only 25% under ideal circumstances: having unprotected s*x right around the time of ovulation.  So, that's only 1 in 4 under those circumstances.  With what you're describing, the chances are incredibly small.  It's theoretically possible, but unlikely.

As for risks of being pregnant now, when you'd be delivering at 19 1/2, there really are none.  You're in a healthy bracket for having children.  My first child was born a couple months shy of my 19th birthday.  But again, it's highly unlikely that you're pregnant.

  2. I was newly 16 when I had my 1st child, 17 when I had my 2nd, 19 when I had my 3rd.  All 3 pregnancies were wonderful - no complications.  My kids are 13,12,10 now and are beautiful, smart, healthy children.  I think you probably are just stressed out and going to get your period soon.

  3. i dont think that you could be pregnant but you never know your just gonna have to wait and take a test or something but the risks are very slim im 4 months pregnant now and im 15(16 in a couple of months) so yeah but you could possibly be pregnant

  4. It would be VERY unlikely to get pregnant from getting sperm on the outside. Possible, but not at all probable.

I'd try to relax and see if you get your period.

(But if you are finding that condoms are breaking often, you need to figure out what you are doing to make them break. Quality control for condoms is VERY high, so breakage should be uncommon.  Are you using vaseline for lubrication?  Nicking/tearing the condom with sharp nails or rings or teeth when putting it on?  Are the condoms old?  Is he carrying them in his wallet/pocket? (Heat can degrade the latex.) Are they standard-brand condoms (Trojans/Lifestyles) and not novelty condoms? Do you have enough natural lubrication?  (If you're dry it can tear the condom.  If more foreplay doesn't help, try something like Astroglide or KY.)

If you ARE pregnant, in the absence of underlying health problems, you shouldn't expect any problems.  Biologically you're an adult woman.
