How big are the waves on a really good day at Wrightsville Beach or top sail?

    i'd say up to 6-7 feet


  2. Maybe 4 feet or more; but, there might also be a hurricane headed that way when the waves reach that height.

  3. Not too bad at Wrightsville.  Depends on the tide and whether it's in or out.  We vacation at Oak Island every summer which is literally 20 min away from Wrightsville, and we have seen some pretty hairy waves.

  4. 2-4 feet (It only gets 6-7 during storms). The surfing is best @ the southern end, because the sand builds up against the jetty.

  5. I've been to Wrightsville beach several times (Family lives there).  I'm not a surfer, but people do surf there.  I'd say the bigger waves are toward the northern part of the beach (Turn left at the end of the US Highway.)
