How big can your carry on bag be when flying on an airplane?

On july 4 will be the first time i have ever rode on an airplane and i was wondering how big your carry on bag can be?See i already looked it up on the internet but i need a better idea of how big it can be.i was wonderin if it can be the size of a small duffel bag that came with a three piece luggage set.

Its gotta be small enough that it can fit in the overhead compartment and fit through the door of the Airplane. I've done it once and it worked.

Yeah, it sounds like your bag should be fine. I recently went on vacation and my carry-on bag wasn't very small : ) Mine had room for a small pillow and a blanket so if yours isn't much bigger than that you should be fine. Good luck!

most likely it can be. you'd have to check with the site for the specific airline you're taking.
