  1. Most of the cory species reach only 1inch with some species reaching 3 inches at the most.

Also cory's are an armored catfish in some ways. They have hard scales with prickly fins that keep most fish from bothering them.

This has the majority of the cory's listed that on the market. As you can see none rarely reach 3 inches, where some people get 5 inches for a cory I have no clue.

  2. Corys are a small type of scavenging catfish, and rarely exceed 2 inches. I'm not sure that you should put 3 loaches and corys in a tank together, not because they are agressive, but because they both are bottom feeders and thus would be competing for the same food. I would get just corys or just loaches, since they both like to school in small numbers. But if you want, you could get 2 corys and just 1 loach. That way there would be more variety at the bottom. Hope this helps, and good like!

  3. A cory will get about 5 inches. They should be kept in groups of 5, you could get away with maybe 3, only because they are very shy fish. But they get along great with other community fish, just remember that they are a fresh water fish and are mostly bottom feeders so remember to get something that sinks, like flakes or sinking pellets

    Good Luck!!

  4. There are litterally hundreds of species of cory catfish.

Some only reach 1" long, others grow up to 4".

So check what species you are buying, but the commonly available ones generally reach 2" long.
