How big do sunflowers grow i have stated to grow them and they are about 1 metre tall.?

They grow wild here in Texas. I seen them reach 7 to 8 feet.

My record was 3m 14cm and they were located in a direct south facing yard in zone 4.    The name of the seed was 'For the Birds'.  Unfortunately last year I neglected to keep some seeds from them and I have been unable to find that particular variety again. :(  Missing them this year!

I have the mammoth sunflowers and mine get to be 6 Feet to 6.5 Feet Tall. It just depends what kind you have planted really.
