  1. Depends on what type.

    Triops cancriformis : 2 -4/12 inches

    the european species

    Triops Longicatitus : 1-3 inches

    the american species

    Triops Australiensis : 1/12 -3/12 inches

    the Australian species

  2. Members of the order Notostraca (colloquially referred to as notostracans, Triops, tadpole shrimp or shield shrimp), primarily Triops longicaudatus, are often sold for home aquariums.

The maximum recorded length was approximately 4 inches. However, the length normally reached, especially in an aquarium is 2 inches (5 centimeters).

Although related to the fairy shrimp, these are no fairies. If they’re not fed regularly, and sometimes if they are, they will eat each other!
