  1. They range from a few ounces to about a ton, depending on species.

  2. It really depends on the species of turtle you get.  Some are as small as 5" or so and some grow 12" +.  Check out www.austinsturtlepage.com for different types of turtles.

  3. As with most things it all depends on what kind of turtle you are talking about. A chihuahua doesn't get very big, but a great dane does...

  4. They get to be 12" well  the females do and the males are smaller.

It all depends on thier enviroment and food. As long as they bask under a reptile light for  8 to 10 hrs a day for the vitamin D that  they need to grow.

Leave the heater on 75 to 78 degrees always.

Their water needs to be clean otherwise they get sick easily from dirty water cause they p**p allot.

You need a good filter system !

You need to feed them feeder guppies, goldfish or minnows for protein and calcium daily.

They need leafy greens for vitamins at least 3 to 4 times a week.

And a big tank 55 gallons or more..

Most people stunt the turtles growth by improper diet and tank size.
