How big does a hamster cage have to be?

Question

I'm going to buy 2 roborovski dwarf hamsters (female) but i'm not sure how big the cage has to be! How many floors does it need to have?

The one i like has :

3 floors

A wheel

A little house

A hammock

2 bowls

Pieces of wood to chew on.

Also, are hamsters fun?

Well, you should get a decent sized cage for them with enough room to run around. They are rather small and don't need THAT much room. Although it is up to you. They may not use all three floors unless teh width is thin.

Yes, hamster are fun!!!! But be careful because robo hamsters aren't always fun. Some of then run super fast which makes them more for watching than handling and playing with. Although My friend has two robos and the bigger one is fine with being handled. The smaller one is the super fast one that is jumpy. For some reason the bigger one seems to no even show it's a robo until it runs around with the smaller on. Advice: get the biggest one!

you cage might be too big..... dwarf hamsters are small

hamsters are sorta fun they dont do alot tho run around go in wheel in ball why dont you get a rat better pets and do alot more if not that cage is fine all to rotostak is good becuase you can add more on and mess dose not come out and u can have some of cleen for when u clean them out  but get the one whats best for hamsters =]

a key is 3 square feet of space per hamster. make sure the cage wires are no more than .5 a centimeter apart, or they will escape.

For two robo's I would suggest you buy an aquarium because they can easily slip between the cage bars and escape. If you decide on a regular cage anyway, it doesn't matter how many floors you have. Robo hamsters are harder to play with because they are so much smaller. If you want a hamster that you can have fun with I would suggest a Syrian. If you get two hamsters you should be prepared to separate them because they might fight and possibly to the death.

that's a nice cage by the sound of it!!! u should definetly get it......but in my opinion, syrian hamsters are way friendlier and way easier to tame!  and yes they are SO MUCH FUN!!!!

i love hamster's they are sooooo fun!!!!! i have one. and yes the cage that you like is extra big for two, i wish my hamster had a cage like that one. other than peices wood to chew on, you should get them a runnig ball ( it's the best when cleaning the cage) and toys such as tube and ladders. hamsters love to climb and go through "tunnels". if you don't have enough money to buy tubes, you can use empty toilet paper rolls they are so much fun. and you can always replace them :) hope this helps:)
