I am considering starting a Christmas tree farm and I am wondering how much land does it require to be considered a farm by the Dept. of Agriculture?

  1. I don't believe that the U.S. Department of Agriculture has a limiting factor of acreage in defining a farm. If you produce agricultural products for commercial sale, regardless of your size, you are considered a farm in their eyes.

  2. A christmas tree farm is not considered a farm. It is considered a nursery rather than a farm. But you could still `call it' a farm.
