  1. I don't think size maters..( in this case  lol ) ..if someone can walk up to it, fall in and drown, then u need a fence

  2. doesnt really matter in my state.

    its a law..

  3. With the exception of commercial pools, most codes don't call for a fence completely encircling a pool, just one that prevents small kids from being able to get in from the outside.

Check your local building department as to code for this, including fence height, spacing, and gate latches. Most require a self closing/latching gate. In my state (CA), you don't need a fence unless the body of water is 2 feet or deeper.

  4. Depends on local zoning rules. Call your city/county building department.

  5. ALL pools need a fence.   Toddlers can drown in very little water.  Be safe!

  6. I don't think size matters in this case.   If you live in a municipality, check with your building inspector.  In my area, the minimum is 4' high fence around any inground pool, but none required for an above ground pool.  Go figure.  If you live outside of a jurisdiction, check with your insurance company.  Check with them regardless, you may need a rider on your policy.
