  1. I'm not an expert on sizes, but my son just rescued a RES from the dogs and she is close to 15 inches. She now lives happily in her new habitat.

  4. well it depends on thier enviroment. The size of the tank . The food they are given. They need lots of goldfish and  or minows or guppies The bones from the fish give them calcium which is very important for growth and to keep theccoties away.

    They need lots of swim room and lots of light. I have fed mine goldfish and lettuces and these guys have never been sick!!.

    I have had my 2 for 36 yrs and they are 8 1/2 " across and still with me. They are older than my kids!

  6. They can get up to 1 foot long and 1 foot wide and live up to 25 years with good care.
