Yeah, the average house is 2500 square feet. (3-4 bedrooms, kitchen, dining room, living room)

Depends on how you do it............but it's like stacking 2.....4 bedroom houses on top of each other and add a  car garage to one side........If you spread it out it gets quite large.  Look on line............there's a ton of them up to 10,000sq. ft. Put a big daylight basement in and you will be the happest(imo)

5,000 square feet is the area that fits in an area that is, for example, 50 feet x 100 feet (50 x 100 = 5,000) or 25 feet by 200 feet, etc.  Just multiply the length and width of the area you need to cover, and that will give you the square footage.

this is about the size of two large American bungalows ..or Canadian ...it would be about the size of 3 in the UK ...i have a bungalow in the Pyrenees..and its about 1800 square feet and most people from the UK think its enormous ..but the yanks will think it a little on the small side !

It would be an area 50 feet by 100 feet. Put another way about 18 yards by 33 yards.

If it was square it would be about 71 feet by 71 feet, or 23.5 yards by about 23.5 yards.

Lenght times width. 50' x 100' = 5000'  = 5000 sq ft

If you measured 1' lenghts and made a flat square on the ground, that would be 1 square ft'

Now, to make it 1 cubic ft, it would be lenght, times width, times depth. So picture that flat square, add the same square as sides all around, and one on top. That is a cube.
