How big is a 3/0 fishing hook?

how many inches/cm/etc would a 3/0 hook be or a 4/0

Ive just measured a mustad, 3261 BLN hook in size 3/0 the hook shank is about 4 cm and the gape is 1.5cm, BUT, it varies from hook brand and also the type of hook, eg a circle hook in 3/0 is allot different than an Aberdeen in 3/0, hooks start from a size 32 midge hook up to a size 19/0, the largest hook ever made was by mustad in size 24/0 however the hook has been discontinued.

Joe B is about right.When determining fish hook size the numbers start at like 26 i think,which is really small then go down to 0 which is bigger,then they start at 1/0,2/0,3/0 which get progressively bigger and go to 20 something i believe.

my personal preference is a size 2 for carp and a 2/0 texas rigged for bass.That's about all I really fish for.
