How big is the Kentucky Derby winner, Big Brown?

I heard he was 16.2hh.

About normal height for a Thoroughbred.

Eight Belles, the filly, who was said to be "as big as the boys" was actually bigger then ALL of them! She was an outstanding 17hh!!! That is HUGE!

May she Rest In Peace - she's in my thoughts.

I read somewhere that he's either 16 hands or 16.2 hands.  I can't find it now to source it though.
