How big is the hard drive or server for you tube or yahoo ?

I heard on the radio that you tube takes in 8 hours of video per minute!

then yahoo with all it`s mails , answers ect?

I`m not a pc nerd but, how big is it? size of a truck? house?

Its on the moon, it takes up the whole side which we cant see from earth.

So yeah its pretty big.

It is an array of drives. (multiple drives hooked up together)  Most likely hundreds of them all connected to look like one huge space.

The casino my nephew does the "eye in the sky" for has 500 terabytes of hard drive space to stream video to

Everything you do in that casino gets taped so they can refer to it if there is a problem later.

I am guessing they (youtube and yahoo) have quite a bit more than that even.

YouTubes servers were 45 terrabytes in 2006, they're probably a few times larger than that by now.

In May 2008 Yahoo claimed to have the worlds largest database at 2-petabytes. That's about 2,000,000 gigabytes.

EDIT: A terrabyte is roughly the upper limit of what can be stored on a hard drive (Hitachi released the first commercially available terrabyte hard drive at the start of last year).
