How big is the houston ariport?

Question

Im going to austin and I have a layover in houston how big is their airport im traveling with kids and i wanna know how good there service is how convienant it is to get out side for a cigarette are there smokin lounges are there trallys that can take you across the airport. Whats the chances of lossing luggage, how good is there service.

You didn't say which Houston airport. There are two large airports. IAH which is the largest and Houston-Hobby HOU. And a third smaller airport Ellington Field EFD.

All major airlines serve IAH(George Bush Intercontinental) whereas Hobby HOU is a predominantly Southwest hub.

Houston George Bush Intercontinental Airport is very nice and big. There is a people mover to take you to the different terminals and lots of great places to eat. I've never noticed the smoking arrangements since that is not a need for me. They also have electric cart for the people that really need them. Don't expect an electric cart in Austin though since there are none. Since you have a computer you can type in Houston Airport into Google and go the Airport Website and use  it to plan out your layover there. You can do this with most airports.

Its really big...lots of places to shop and eat.  Kinda a pain in the a** to find a place to smoke, but there are a FEW smoking lounges.  My experience with the luggage has always been good, but I don't know if there is really any way to predict that!
