  1. Are you sure about 30-60 miles? In most places that would put you in Iran? Assuming you are coming from the South of the Gulf?

  2. 24' may be a little small for that distance from shore, especially in the summer months when thunderstorms frequently have gale force winds under them.  A 24' fishing boat is not made for much over 3 - 4' seas.  I think once you starting going off shore you'll fine that 20-30 miles will be plenty when timing the tides and storms.  For near shore, less than 20 miles this size boat and engines will be plenty...further than that probably not so much.

be careful!    I have a 40' cruiser and have been caught less than 10miles off shore under thunderstorms producing 8-10' seas...not fun.

  3. yes that would be okay, but a larger boat with gas tank would be better, I  would like a 26 to 28 would be perfect, an extra 4 ft makes a big difference on a boat, but on calm days you would be fine with a 24'....and for sandy..learn  geography, i doubt he will hit Cuba.

also 125 are alittle too small...but hey thats just my opinion

  4. Hi there

A 24 foot boat should be just fine for you to use. The key in this decision is to pick your days to go out in any size boat with the weather. It's only natural that you would not go out in any boat if the forcast is going to be dangerous no matter what the size boat is. If on the other hand you are already out there and get caught in bad weather, use your good navigating skills and the 24 footer should hold out for your safety as well as can be.
