We are building a kegerator and I would like to know how big of a c02 tank I would need to power a full size 15.5 gallon keg without having to refill the c02 before the keg is up. Also, kegerator conversion kits are expensive. How much of it can I do myself or where can I get cheap components?

  1. Hello,

My 5 lb c02 tank lasts me about 11 kegs.  The best site I have found and with the best information is www.micromatic.com  They have a forum on there that will give you all the information you will ever need about building and mantaining your kegerator.

  2. 5 Pound Tank.

    Get Drunk! WOO HOO

  3. If your just serving beer, a 5 pound CO2 will serve a couple of kegs.

You can buy the parts to build it yourself at any homebrew supply store.
