  1. i have 2 ball python male and female i have them in 30 gallon they stil young but then they get full grown i move to 45 or 50 gallon cuz the male grows around 4 and female around 5 ft

  2. Hello; I generally keep my adult male Ball pythons in custom cages that are three feet long by two feet deep by eighteen inches high, and my females in cages that are three and a half feet long by two feet deep by eighteen inches high.

And as far as 'gallon' tank sizes go; a 40-55 gallon tank is a great size for them. Here is a website that lists the dimensions of standard tank sizes that is a great reference for when you are trying to choose an appropriately sized reptile cage. :)

I hope this helps, and if you have any further questions at all on the subject; please feel free to message me and I will be more than happy to assist you.

Good luck with your Ball python!

  3. Ball pythons aren't very active, so a 30 gallon would be ideal for a full grown adult.

  4. A 4-5' tank should do, as they are not known to grow beyong 4' and stay curled up most of the time anyway, but do like to stretch out once in a while.

  5. I find my friends ball python constantly stretching up a lot. I'm a great snake sitter. She can get out of the cage and I think a bigger cage would be better but think tall as well since a lot of the muscles in a snake are also climbing muscles a tall vivarium with climbing branches is a good idea as well. Take him/her out twice a week and allow ample exploration time in a large outdoor enclosure if you have access to a safe yard, but beware of birds who would like a tasty snake. Don't ever leave them unattended.
