Question:

How big should the crickets be that i feed my baby beardy?

i know they shoud be smaller than the space between his eyes but is that the length of the cricket or the width because if it's width, the almost any cricket should be small enough.

  1. you should feed them pinhead crickets which are small crickets that you would feed leopard geckos.


  2. Go to your local pet store and ask for small crickets. They are one size up from pinhead crickets. And its lengthwise that they are measured.

  3. No bigger than its head is a good food rule.

  4. The cricket should fit across the back part of his mouth, head barely showing on one side, rearend barely showing on the side of his mouth, and no larger.  The rule of thumb is the cricket should not be longer than the lizard's head is wide.

    Cricket size will vary as the lizard grows.

    I hope you are gut loading your crickets before feeding them to your Bearded Dragon.

  5. Well there is some crickets called feeder crickets and they tand to get no longer than a nickle, and as fat as a pencil.

    But yeah your right just about any.
