Question:

How big will my chi-poo get?

He is about 25 weeks today, and has grown very little since we adopted him @ 11 weeks. Both testicles have already dropped, which makes me think he has stopped growing. But does anyone know for sure? He is probably around a pound- pound 1/2, can anyone give me a estimate?

  1. he could be as little as one of the parents or as big as the other.  he could take after one of the grandparents.

when you get a mix you never know until they are grown.

  2. Your chi's poo?  Shouldn't be too big...they're little dogs.

Oh...you are talking about your little mutt.  Well, since it is a mixed breed, there is no way to guarentee the size.  You can make a somewhat good guess by knowing the average size of chis and poodles and figuring your dog could be anywhere in that range.

  3. Most dog owners exadrate on how much there dog weighs, when I first got my chiuahua puppy at 8 weeks she was 2 pounds so tiny and is now 5 pounds and 11 months old so i highly doubt ur dog is that small or it would conisder being the worlds smallest dog

EDITl 3 pounds he is going to be a small dog probably around 5-6 pounds

  4. Small dogs grow at a slower rate, and usually continue to grow throughout the first year of their life, so I think your dog will be gaining at least a pound or two.  My papillon gained weight until she was just over a year!  She weighs 8lbs and when I got her at 3months she weighed 3lbs.
