Question:

How big will these puppies be when fully grown?

The puppy I'm getting is about 3 weeks old now (just under). His mom is pomeranian (maybe)... it's anybody's guess for the dad.

Here are some pictures of mom and babies:

Also, any guess on what breed the dad might be/have in him? Do you think there's any chance the puppies will "fluff up" as they get older? I really love the long-haired breeds!

  1. The pom pups I've ever seen aren't born fluffy, so you still have hope!  As to what breed the dad is, it might be easier to guess when they get a little older.  They're super cute!  Thanks for sharing the pics!

  2. they look just like old dogs pups the mum was a pomeranian x multesse and the day was a poodle they get long hair and are super cute

  3. They are way too young to guess what they may be mixed with. They will likely be the size of mom or a little larger

  4. A fast (but reasonably accurate) way to determine how big a puppy will be when they grow up is the size of their feet - little, dainty feet = little dog when it grows up... big, boofy feet = big dog when it grows up. They look pretty small, so I think they will be little dogs when they grow up. (Hope this helps)

  5. Its hard to tell by just looking at the pics, however the puppies do look pretty big compared to their mommy.  How many puppies did she have?  Did she have some that were still born?  The reason I ask is that my aunts beagle (who was supposed to have been spaded) got pregnant by her siberian husky.  She had a horrible labor and only two of the puppies survived.  They are bigger than their mommy but smaller than their dad and absolutely beautiful.  If you think a bigger dog is the dad that is basically what you can plan for.. they will at least be their moms size if not bigger.

  6. Your dog's vet would know the best!

  7. By these photos, it looks like the Mom is a Pomeranian-mix. The Q. I have for you is--did she have them naturally--no trip to the vet for a C-Section? If so, then the dad cannot be much bigger (may be smaller) than the Mom is. They are way too young right now to tell how big they will get or how long their hair might be. Time will tell.
