How big would i have to make wings to lift 220 pounds?

I want to build a glider so i can glide around, i want to figure out of the wing span i'd need in order to lift about 220-250 pounds. Would i use the lift coefficient.

  1. Designing and building your own aircraft is beyond the skills of normal mortals.

    However, there are ultralight aircraft for one person, with about 60 to 100 ft^2 of wing area. You can buy plans to build. You don't need a license or anything in several counties, including the US.

    Google "ultralight" and similar. Kitplane magazine has some info.

    Powered is much cooler. You might be able to buy one used fairly cheap. Good luck, and be safe. Even without a license, you steill need training. Don't risk your life over trying to build and fly something.
