How boring will next weekend be?

Question

What is with the AFL? Split round with 6 games in the first week and 2 in the second? No day games.

Admittedly Cats/Crows and Swans/Pies are fairly good game but FFS ... 2 games??? Is there a reason that I don't get?

I completely agree with you, it should be four games per round. Collingwood are playing next week, and it's so hard waiting because so many other teams have already played! I suppose they chose some bigger games for the week with less games so there was more to talk about! I don't know the reason for having the games 6-2, but hopefully they change it next season. I believe it used to be 7 games one week, and 1 the next, which is really stupid! I'm going to be so bored on Sunday, LOL -No footy! Don't ask how I survive in the off-season!

I agree with lozz. Should be 4 games one week and 4 the next. What makes it worse is that free to air is only allowed 4 games a round, they could only show 2 games out of the 6 this week because they are showing both games next week. At least we can watch the VFL on Saturday....

If you live in Melbourne/Vic, I'd strongly encourage heading down to Casey Fields to watch round 4 of the AFL U/18 Championships, a triple header on Saturday (starts at 10.15AM and should wrap up around 4.15-4.30PM):

Tas vs WA - 10.15PM

Vic Country vs SA - 12.15PM

Vic Metro vs NSW/ACT - 2.30PM

Some exceptional talent will be running around in what will be a very strong group of draftees this year. Should be a great day out and entry is FREE!

**Probably the same reason as why all clubs aren't playing each other once before they play teams for a second time in the season.  

The AFL has made a few stuff ups this year and I can't understand why there aren't four games being played this weekend and four games next weekend.  Would certainly be a lot fairer and I thought that the TV networks would be wanting that too.**

Im looking forward to next week's Collingwood/Swans match but it will still be a boring week of footy with only two matchs.

How hard is it to split the round to 4 games per week - not that hard!!

The Swans/Collingwood game will be so interesting and even more interesting in my opinion if the Swans smash them even without Goodes (big ask probably).

Well for youse bored supporters maybe watch Wimbledon???  Maybe Lleyton will be top dog.  Or if you get really bored maybe go to Church or something.
